Wolverine Needs a Drink

The artist has a great sense of anatomy that is very well applied to this piece, the use of what it appears to be markers looks great in the piece and the line art complements it just as well. However, despite the overall technique being very good, and the sort of punchline and humor being on the right track, I feel like the joke that wolverine is asking for another drink while being wounded by various weapons is a little lacking. Naturally a lot of people are uncomfortable with seeing gore and such but making wolverine look like he just came back from a more tougher fight with more weapons stuck to him or looking like his healing factor was in effect would of had a stronger impact. Normally the way his costume looks works out, but in this piece, there isn't to many signs of actual battle damage or anything of those lines. I also think the there could be a little more space around wolverine cause the piece feels very enclosed right now. Overall I think the artist is very talented and had a great idea going but slightly fell short of what would of made it an even better piece.
