Earthly Muses | Descent

The composition is very tight. A jumbled mess that screams order and exactness. There's a lot going on, and that communicates the message quite clearly. There's also a lot of depth, which adds to the beauty (as well as the color choices). The eye movement is in a circular pattern, causing the viewer to see almost everything this piece has to offer. Background wise, it's pale color seems to blend in, as it should. It pushes the rest of the composition forward. The black haired figure seems to cause a loss in the eye movement, all though the blue of the bird takes the eye right back out, causing it to wrap around to the figure falling, the breasts, the guitar, and the arm, acting like a bridge to the trumpet. After that a pause begins at the figure with the fire. After, the eye gets right back on track with the rest of the composition. All in all it's tight and effective. It communicates a message just as strong as the figures and objects found within it.
